This workshop is an introduction to the ACA Code of Ethics and a review of the changes made in 2014. Presenters share information received at a Train the Trainers workshop at the ACA convention. Ways to make a decision regarding ethical dilemmas is presented and practiced. It is not the typical lecture presentation. Rather, it is an interactive format and attendees should plan to bring a copy of the ACA Code of Ethics with them. This workshop would benefit the associate licensed and the fully licensed. Discussion revolves around the possible way to resolve ethical dilemmas per the code of ethics.
This workshop offers 5 ETHICS Continuing Education Credits (5 CEs).

Presenter: Carolyn A. Ramp, LPC, NCC, ACS, CPCS and Angela Feeser, LPC, CPCS
Carolyn Ramp’s career in mental health spans over 30 years. Her experience includes outpatient clinical work in agencies, school systems, as well as building and managing a multi-specialty private practice of 18 therapists. She’s earned a master’s degree in 1993 and A Specialist’s Degree in Counseling in 2000. She was President of LPCAGA in 2019 -2020. Her specialties include Clinical Supervision for over 20 years, working with the families of the Personality Disordered, teaching parenting strategies as a Love and Logic Facilitator and she is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. She currently works with LifeStance Health as a Clinical Lead.
Angela Feeser, EdS, LPC, CPCS started her therapy career providing in-home counseling services throughout the CSRA. In addition to her therapy roles, her leadership roles included Regional Director and Clinical Director over outpatient mental health/substance abuse, crisis stabilization and developmental disability services. She has been a member of a variety of advocacy groups for mental health and addiction. During the last four years she has focused on providing therapy in a private group practice. Angela enjoys providing workshops in ethics
and clinical supervision, as well as, providing clinical supervision for upcoming therapists.
