BEING A GATEKEEPER SUPERVISOR: Knowing the rules and using them

Knowing the rules to follow in supervision and being able to apply them is a prime responsibility of the supervisor. This workshop will review the GA Composite Board rules for APC and LPC, as well as requirements for maintaining the CPCS credential. Through interactive discussion using scenarios, application of the rules will be practiced, as well as offer resources for questions, offer support for resolving dilemmas in supervision and will identify practical tips for supervisors. Finally this workshop will identify ways to practice supervision as a Gatekeeper for our profession.

This workshop offers 3 SUPERVISION Continuing Education Credits (3 CEs).

This workshop costs $75.

Presenter: Angela Feeser, LPC, CPCS

Angela Feeser, EdS, LPC, CPCS started her therapy career providing in-home counseling services throughout the CSRA. In addition to her therapy roles, her leadership roles included Regional Director and Clinical Director over outpatient mental health/substance abuse, crisis stabilization and developmental disability services. She has been a member of a variety of advocacy groups for mental health and addiction. During the last four years she has focused on providing therapy in a private group practice. Angela enjoys providing workshops in ethics
and clinical supervision, as well as, providing clinical supervision for upcoming therapists.
