TRAUMA CASE STUDIES

This workshop will explore individual case reviews specific to trauma resolution using EEG neurofeedback and trauma-focused interventions. Cases will include various manifestations of trauma and clients will range from 6 to 76 years of age. Data will include standardized pre-post measures and specific symptom tracking from start to finish. Focus will be on correctly diagnosing trauma and trauma-related symptoms, distinguishing trauma symptoms from other symptoms related to co-morbid conditions, creating comprehensive functional improvement of the whole person, and providing psycho-education to the clients about trauma and self care.

This workshop offers 5 CORE Continuing Education Credits (5 CEs).

This workshop costs $145 and includes lunch. A gluten free item is included in the menu.

Presenter: JOY F. WELCKER, PhD, LPC, OMC, CPCS

Dr. Welcker has worked independently in the field of mental health for almost 20 years. She completed an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology in 2003 and a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology in 2013. She completed her formal studies with a 2-year post-doctoral Fellowship in Augusta, GA in Neuropsychology with a focus on neuro-diagnostic assessment and developmental trauma. She opened Brighter Brains Integrative Health Group in Statesboro, GA in March of 2017, where she continues to practice brain-based assessment and neurobiologically-informed interventions to improve cognitive, emotional, and physical functioning for clients of all ages. Dr. Welcker currently holds licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. She enjoys nature, hiking, biking, traveling, and time with family.
