ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EVENTS AND DEVELOPMENTAL TRAUMA

This workshop will review one of the largest investigations of the impact of childhood abuse and neglect on later life health and well-being. The original ACEs Study was conducted at Kaiser Permanente between 1995 and 1997, with participants being followed for several decades. This investigation explores the link between childhood maltreatment and mental health later in life, which is representative of developmental trauma effects across the lifespan. Findings from the ACEs study will be used to inform clinical diagnosis and treatment planning in the outpatient mental health setting.

This workshop offers 3 CORE Continuing Education Credits (3 CEs).

This workshop costs $75.
